3M™ 4008 Double Sided Foam Tape is built on a 1/8-inch open cell polyurethane foam carrier with a firm acrylic adhesive on both sides. The foam construction conforms to irregular and uneven surfaces, distributes stress across bonded areas, cushions against vibration and impact, and provides a reliable seal where rigid adhesives would fail.

This tape is well suited for bonding and mounting applications in manufacturing, assembly, and industrial environments. It performs reliably in indoor settings and in exterior applications where the bond line is shielded from direct environmental exposure. The acrylic adhesive system maintains high bond strength through elevated temperatures and solvent exposure, making it a practical choice for production lines, equipment assembly, and maintenance operations requiring a consistent foam tape specification.

The optimal application temperature range is 70°F to 100°F. Each case contains 12 rolls at 3/4" x 36 yards per roll and ships via parcel carrier.
